uplifting words

We can all use some uplifting words to start each day or to get us through a tough day:

-Happy moments, praise God.
- Difficult moments, seek God.
- Quiet moments, worship God.
- Painful moments, trust God,

-Every moment, thank God.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” — Oprah Winfrey

“Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.” — Norman Vincent Peale

“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.” — Mother Teresa

“It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.” — Eleanor Roosevelt

“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men.” – John F. Kennedy

“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” — John Muir

“Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.” — Mother Teresa

“Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one.” — Eleanor Roosevelt

“God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with.” — Billy Graham

“Drop the idea that you are Atlas carrying the world on your shoulders. The world would go on even without you. Don’t take yourself so seriously.” — Norman Vincent Peale

“When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to prevent human misery rather than avenge it?” –Eleanor Roosevelt

“I believe that every single event in life happens in an opportunity to choose love over fear.” — Oprah Winfrey

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” – John Muir

*  Most of all, I think that uplifting words can not only help us feel good, but allow us to remember what we should be thankful for.

Thanks, James…..Christian books also give us time to reflect on the ideas presented by different authors. Therefore, we gain the ability to “see” Jesus in many different ways. It’s similar to the different points of view in the Gospels and Paul’s letters to the Corinthians, etc.
